WARNING: HERE THERE BE SPOILERS FOR CONSTANTINE’S PILOT EPISODE. Before even watching an episode, Constantine has a lot of baggage. He’s a wildly popular comic book character that has already been royally screwed up, by being made into a Keanu Reeves movie. Not many movies made after 2000 can boast surviving that curse. Also, most […]
Following an official NBC series order earlier this week, the trailer for Constantine has dropped.
Starring Matt Ryan as the titular John Constantine, the series is based on DC Comics’ Hellblazer comics (and will hopefully follow the comics more faithfully than the 2005 film starring Keanu Reeves, judging by Constantine’s blond hair and British accent).

Constantine hits TV screens this fall.
WonderCon coverage continues, as I got a chance to sit down as a part of a round table interview with actor Stephen Collins (7th Heaven, Star Trek: The Motion Picture) and then with writer/executive producer Rockne S. O’Bannon. I also covered the Revolution panel, and have a similarly formatted interview with star Elizabeth Mitchell. In other words, it was […]
Elizabeth Mitchell is a wonderful human being. We’ve known and loved her since she burst onto the scene of LOST as Juliette, and gave Sawyer (and us) someone to fall in love with. But she’s been all over the map, with V, ER and even Santa Clause 2 on her varied and impressive resume. She currently lights up our TV on […]
The first season of NBC’s Revolution was one of the more frustrating TV experiences I had last year. The second season brought with it many changes, including new cast members, a massively different status quo, a shift in tone, and a different stable of writers in the writer’s room working with creator and executive producer Eric […]
Just like that the Olympics are over, and NBC’s focus is back on trying to rope people into watching their channel – increasingly doing it through a string of remakes. About a Boy (based on the Nick Hornby novel and 2002 Hugh Grant film), isn’t particularly funny, but it is very charming. By using what is pretty much […]
By Laura Chytra The FBI searches for the man responsible for a chemical attack on a subway; Liz wants to avoid Red after he implicated Tom. Tonight’s episode begins with a man (Robert Sean Leonard) getting on a subway carrying a briefcase. He sits down next to a girl with red hair and she smiles […]
The new season of Community isn’t set to debut until January 2nd, but already the modestly-rated NBC comedy’s got a whole slew of interesting guest stars lined up including Jonathan Banks (Breaking Bad), Walton Goggins (Justified), Nathan Fillion (Castle, Firefly), Paget Brewster (Criminal Minds), and stand-up comedian Kumail Nanjiani. The latest one they’ve just […]
