Alex (Priyanka Chopra) is running for her life and looking for friends to help her anywhere she can. But is there anyone she can trust?
In the flashback to training at Quantico, the group is doing exercises in trust. In a pool exercise, a pair of trainees are zipped tied together and told to jump in the pool. They are charted with working together to get free. Alex and Shelby (Johanna Braddy) are tied together and Alex gets them out, but in doing so she gets a deep cut on her finger – this will be important later.
The trust episode continues when each agent told to profile their classmates. The assessment is posted for all to see and no one is happy with what others think of them. Especially the twins, Nimah & Raina Amin (Yasmine Al Massri), who are posing as one person.
In the present, Alex tracks down Simon Asher (Tate Ellington) who we learn was kicked out of the FBI program. He promises to help her, taking her to the place he works to analyze the bomb fragments that were planted in her apartment. When the fingerprints come back, Alex’s is the only ones there but there is a hitch – the fingerprints show her finger without the scar from her finger being cut at the pool training. Someone has been planning on framing Alex since she came to Quantico.
Alex’s mother Sita (Anna Khaja) is brought in by Liam (Josh Hopkins) and interrogated about her daughter. Miranda Shaw (Aunjanue Ellis) corners her in the bathroom and tries to tell her Alex is being framed but she doesn’t really believe her. In the end, Alex’s mother gets on television and all but calls her daughter a terrorist.
As for trust, just as Alex believes she can trust Asher, it is revealed he is working with the FBI. Could he be one of the people framing her?
All the characters have deep secrets. Shelby transferring over one million dollars to some account and Raina pushing her sister so much she leaves.
