‘Now You See Me 2’ Trailer: The Magic’s Back

It’s been almost three years since the Four Horsemen have attempted any heists, but the time has come. Now You See Me 2 will be released in 2016 and by the looks of the trailer, it will be bringing a lot of action and spectacle with it.

Directed by Jon M. Chu (previously Louis Leterrier), the film will bring back its MVP stars Mark Ruffalo, Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Morgan Freeman, Dave Franco and Michael Caine. Although Isla Fisher will not be returning due to her pregnancy, the cast will be joined by the likes of Lizzy Caplan and Daniel Radcliffe.

Although it would be easy to assume that Daniel Radcliffe would bring some dazzling tricks along with him (thanks to his experience at Hogwarts, of course) the trailer shows otherwise — said to be the film’s main antagonist who brings the crew back together for one last and impossible heist, it seems that Radcliffe is sort of really bad at magic.

Unfortunately, the trailer doesn’t give us much insight into the film’s actual plot but what we do get to see are new tricks from Lizzy Caplan in addition to the visual spectacles that the Four Horsemen have prepared.

Ladies and gentleman, if you’ve already bought your magic hats and bunnies, you’re going to have to hold on tight for now.

One year after outwitting the FBI and winning the public’s adulation with their Robin Hood-style magic spectacles, The Four Horsemen resurface for a comeback performance in hopes of exposing the unethical practices of a tech magnate. The man behind their vanishing act is none other than Walter Mabry, a tech prodigy who threatens the Horsemen into pulling off their most impossible heist yet. Their only hope is to perform one last unprecedented stunt to clear their names and reveal the mastermind behind it all.

Now You See Me 2 is set to hit theaters June 10, 2016.
