‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2’ Final Trailer: “Welcome To The 76th Hunger Games”

The huge book-to-film franchise of The Hunger Games is drawing to a close this November with Mockingjay – Part 2. In this final official trailer, we see what Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) is fighting for.

Starting the trailer with a shot of Katniss hugging her little sister, Prim (Willow Shields), reminds us that she only got into all of this because of her, because she loves her little sister. She wants a better life, not only for her, but for everyone. The only road to that better future is to get rid of their one enemy – President Snow (Donald Sutherland).

Mixed in with shots of the war in the Capitol, we also get glimpses of new and old characters alike. Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) is among them, who hasn’t been shown in previous trailers, probably to keep the shock of what happened to him at the end of Mockingjay – Part 1 alive. He’s seen to have joined Katniss’ army, but still as worn down from his hijacking as before. Katniss and Gale (Liam Hemsworth) are seen fighting side by side, but the most concerning creature they’re fighting against are the large white lizards in the sewers. If you look very closely, you can even see one of them attacking Finnick (Sam Claflin).

Remember to get your tickets for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 because they’re sure to sell out fast.

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 now brings the franchise to its powerful final chapter in which Katniss Everdeen realizes the stakes are no longer just for survival – they are for the future. With the nation of Panem in a full scale war, Katniss confronts President Snow in the final showdown. Teamed with a group of her closest friends – including Gale, Finnick, and Peeta – Katniss goes off on a mission with the unit from District 13 as they risk their lives to liberate the citizens of Panem, and stage an assassination attempt on President Snow who has become increasingly obsessed with destroying her. The mortal traps, enemies, and moral choices that await Katniss will challenge her more than any arena she faced in The Hunger Games.

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 hits theaters November 20. Tickets are already on sale.
