SNL Spoofs ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ With Chris Hemsworth

Chris Hemsworth hosted Saturday Night Live this past week, so naturally it’s time for an Avengers: Age of Ultron spoof. Bobby Moynihan’s reporter character is live on the scene after the Avengers take out Ultron and save Earth.

Thor is about as excited as a bro-y football player whose team just won the SuperBowl. Taran Killam shows up as Tony Stark/Iron Man, and he and Thor dump a bucket of water on Nick Fury (Jay Pharoah). Meanwhile, poor Bruce Banner (Pete Davidson) is so disoriented he doesn’t remember that he ate a guy.

This episode also included an Empire sketch, which I didn’t think was all that funny or creative. (You know what’s missing from Empire? A nerdy white guy played by hunky Chris Hemsworth! Except we already have bib-wearing Rhonda. They should have spoofed that scene.) Kate McKinnon played Hillary Clinton in the cold open and Iggy Azalea in “The Iggy Azalea Show” sketch, which centered around Iggy’s feud with Azealia Banks (Sasheer Zamata).

What did you think of the episode?
