‘Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation’ Trailer: Tom Cruise Is Back

The full Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation trailer looks phenomenal.

There’s a lot going on here, but it looks like Rogue Nation, the fifth installment in the Mission: Impossible movie franchise, is going to up the ante in terms of action and special effects. In one scene, we have Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) hanging onto a cargo plane from the outside. The stakes are much higher, as well: “This may very well be our last mission. Let’s make it out.”

In Rogue Nation, Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) has to face off against The Syndicate, a rogue anti-IMF organization. With Alec Baldwin’s character proposing that the IMF be shut down, is he somehow involved?

It also looks like Rebecca Ferguson is taking over for Paula Patton, the only character introduced in Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol who’s not coming back for the sequel. It’s implied that Ferguson’s character may not be entirely trustworthy. William Brandt (Jeremy Renner) and Benji Dunn (Simon Pegg) are both seen in the trailer helping Ethan with his mission to take down The Syndicate, along with Luther Stickell (Ving Rhames) who’s appeared in all four films (he had a small cameo at the end of Ghost Protocol).

Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation opens in theater on July 31, 2015. You can purchase your tickets at www.missionimpossible.com.
