What To Watch Tonight: ‘Parks and Recreation’ & ‘Agent Carter’ Finales

fresh off the boat

Fresh Off the Boat
8pm on ABC. “Eddie takes a job at the restaurant so he can earn money for a new video game.” I’m so glad this show exists. Fresh Off the Boat, the first Asian-American family sitcom since Margaret Cho’s All-American Girl, has a very Malcolm in the Middle feel. Constance Wu is a star. Hudson Yang is terrific. Watch this show!

Agent Carter
9pm on ABC. “Peggy is faced with Leviathan’s fury as she tries to save Howard Stark — and the world.” It’s the season (series?) finale of Agent Carter, Marvel’s first female-led… well, anything. Read Andy’s recaps.

The Mindy Project
9:30pm on FOX. “Danny says he will stop smoking if Mindy agrees to eat healthier.” Read Isabella’s recaps.

Parks and Recreation
10pm on NBC. The confirmed series finale of Parks and Recreation is tonight. My heart aches just thinking about it. This has been a wonderful, sweet show that’s delighted me to no end. It gave us Galentine’s Day, “Treat Yo Self,” Jean-Ralphio, Perd Hapley, and so much more. I’m really, really going to miss this show.

The Real World: Skeletons
10pm on MTV. “Madison must confront the damage caused by her past addiction; Jason embraces fatherhood.” Bruno is a crazy person. That is all.

The Challenge: Battle of the Exes 2
11pm on MTV. “The teams must jump from fast-moving semi-trucks; a veteran couple tries to manipulate the others.” Zach is a major douchebag. That is all.

Late Night With Seth Meyers
12:30am on NBC. It’s a Park and Recreation reunion with Amy Poehler, Aziz Ansari, Nick Offerman, Aubrey Plaza, Chris Pratt, Adam Scott, Retta, and Jim O’Heir. I imagine it’s going to be very bittersweet, especially with the passing of Parks and Rec executive producer, writer, and comedian Harris Wittels. Ansari wrote a beautiful piece about his friend, which you can read here.
