Several new trailers of upcoming films premiered during yesterday’s Super Bowl — from Pitch Perfect 2 to Jurassic World, but Disney also took the opportunity to air a brand new special look at their new film Tomorrowland.
Although the TV spot was only 30 seconds, it was enough time to give us just a taste of the incredible graphics and stunning visuals of what’s to come from the film directed by Brad Bird and co-written by Damon Lindelof (Lost).
In the trailer, Frank Walker (George Clooney) tells the 17-year-old Casey Newton (Britt Robertson) of a place “where nothing is impossible” and “where you could build whatever you’re crazy enough to imagine, a place where you could actually change the world.” Not much of the plot has been released except for the fact that when Casey picks up a pin with the emblem of Tomorrowland on it, she very suddenly gets a view of it. So when Frank later asks her if she wants to go, we can only assume that she’ll go. Who wouldn’t want to?
Hopefully this peek into this high-tech world during the Super Bowl has enticed moviegoers enough to venture into the world of Tomorrowland.
Tomorrowland opens in theaters on May 22, 2015.
