Guys, you have no idea how excited I am for this movie! Fast Five and Fast & Furious 6 were amazing, and Furious 7 looks like it’s going to be just as good, if not better. The special effects look fantastic and I love how it’s so action-packed, which, duh.
For this new installment of the Fast and Furious franchise, director Justin Lin has passed the torch to James Wan, the director of horror movies such as The Conjuring, Insidious, and Saw. Lin was so good, but from watching this trailer, I have a lot of faith in Wan’s ability to take over.
In the post-credits scene of Fast & Furious 6, we saw Jason Statham‘s character make his explosive debut when he murders Han (Sung Kang) to get revenge on Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) & co. for killing his brother, Shaw (Luke Evans). In Furious 7, he’s out for more revenge and (from what I understand) is planning to kill the rest of Toretto’s “family”: Brian (Paul Walker), Mia (Jordana Brewster), Letty (Michelle Rodriguez), Roman (Tyrese Gibson), and Tej (Ludacris). Cue Dominic Toretto’s line from the movie: “I don’t have friends, I got family.”
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson‘s character Hobbs is coming back, of course, because he was the best part of the last two movies (besides Han and Gisele, in my humble opinion). Ramsey, played by Nathalie Emmanuel (Game of Thrones), appears to be a new addition to the family. Other notable additions to the cast include Kurt Russell, Djimon Hounsou, and MMA fighter Ronda Rousey (The Expendables 3), who has a fight scene with Michelle Rodriguez in the trailer.
Furious 7 will be released in theaters on April 3, 2015.
