Owen Wilson and Jennifer Aniston are reuniting for their second movie together, but She’s Funny That Way doesn’t look much like Marley and Me.
Directed by Peter Bogdanovich (What’s Up Doc?) and produced by Wes Anderson (The Grand Budapest Hotel) and Noah Baumbuch (Frances Ha), She’s Funny That Way follows Wilson’s character Andrew Albertson, a Broadway director whose life is turned upside down after the hooker that he hires (Imogen Poots) auditions for his play.
The screwball comedy film boasts a star-studded cast, with Kathryn Hahn playing Andrew’s wife, Will Forte as the writer on his play, Jennifer Aniston as Poot’s therapist and Rhys Ifans as another one of the actors in Andrew’s production. But to see them, you have to look past the horrendous ’90s style editing that was inflicted upon this trailer, and Poots’ strange, over-exaggerated accent.
She’s Funny That Way is set to be released on May 1st.
