The new first look at the Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt original Netflix show, premiering March 6, shows Kimmy Schmidt (Ellie Kemper) getting used to her life outside of a doomsday cult. As the trailer shows, she is known as one of the four Indiana Mole Women who spent 15 years underground just waiting for the Apocalypse.
I knew I was going to be watching it since before knowing what it was about, mainly because of my love for whatever Tina Fey writes, but this trailer just solidified that even more.
Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt was originally supposed to air on NBC, but the network canceled it before it even had a chance to air. Luckily, Netflix swooped in at the right moment. It stars Ellie Kemper, Tituss Burgess, Sara Chase, Lauren Adams, and Jane Krakowski.
From 30 Rock executive producers, Tina Fey and Robert Carlock comes this hilarious new comedy series starring Ellie Kemper (The Office, Bridesmaids) as a woman who is rescued from a doomsday cult and starts life over as a nanny for an Upper East Side socialite (Jane Krakowski from 30 Rock) in New York City. Armed with just a backpack, light-up sneakers and a couple way-past-due library books, she takes on a world she didn’t think even existed anymore.
Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt premieres on Netflix on March 6, 2015.
