IT’S HERE. The first teaser trailer for Marvel’s next team-up movie — Avengers: Age of Ultron — looks amazing.
We’ve got Robert Downey Jr. returning as Iron Man, Chris Evans as Captain America, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/The Hulk, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, and newcomers Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Elizabeth Olsen as Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch.
Not to mention The Blacklist‘s James Spader as the voice of Ultron, the movie’s villain and the character with the most lines during this teaser trailer. There’s a sense of foreboding throughout, with our heroes — especially Bruce Banner — looking pretty beaten down.
Here’s the official synopsis from Marvel Studios.
When Tony Stark tries to jumpstart a dormant peacekeeping program, things go awry and Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, including Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, The Incredible Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye, are put to the ultimate test as the fate of the planet hangs in the balance. As the villainous Ultron emerges, it is up to The Avengers to stop him from enacting his terrible plans, and soon uneasy alliances and unexpected action pave the way for an epic and unique global adventure.
Avengers: Age of Ultron will be released in theaters on May 1, 2015.
