Charlie Brooker’s “How Video Games Changed The World” Premieres Tomorrow, Nov. 30th

How exactly have video games changed the world?

That’s a question Charlie Brooker (Black Mirror, A Touch of Cloth) and others attempt to answer in his latest documentary. An avid gamer himself, Brooker’s program will analyze the impact that video games have had on culture and society – even if some might dismiss them as little more than idle pastimes.

A preview clip from the documentary discusses the impact of open-world creative game Minecraft: “The beautiful thing with Minecraft is you see people playing together to create something, to build some massive project… that’s a lovely thing, because most of the time in games people come together, they destroy stuff, and each other.”

“How Video Games Changed The World” will air on Channel 4 on Saturday, November 30th, at 9PM.
